Almond Flour Herb and Cheese Buns

A great and diabetic friendly solution for making subs and sandwiches!

Yeast Mixture


1 1/2 TSP Instant Yeast
1 TSP Honey
1/2 Cup Coconut Milk
1 Egg
3 TBS Olive Oil

In a bowl add yeast, honey coconut milk, let sit for 15 minutes, add egg, oil and wisk it. and set aside.

Dough Mixture

4 Cups Of Almond Flour
1 TSP Garlic Powder
1 TSP Onion Powder
2 TBS Of Parmesan Cheese
1 TSP Oregano
1 TSP Nutmeg
3/4 Cups Of Luke Warm Water

In a large bowl add your flour, your spices, your cheese, mix everything very well, then add your yeast mixture, add your water mix slowly until you get a dough ball going.

On a cutting board, put some flour on the bottom and mix it into a ball until its firm.

We are going to dust our board with flour, and again kneed the dough for 10 minutes, then cut in 6 equal pieces.

Roll each piece flat and then roll into a cilender.

Take a baking tray, line the bottom with tin foil, and then with parchment paper on top.

Place the dough on the tray giving some space between.

Topping.

1 Egg
3 TBS Of A Cheese Of your choice
3 TBS Of Parmesan Cheese

Mix the cheese together.

Now beat your egg and brush on the top of the buns, and then spread the topping over the top of the buns.

Cut on top of the bun about 3 should be fine.

Preheat your oven to 375F and bake for 18 minutes. and let cool all the way.
